LWVUS (National)

Tell your representatives that you want equality to be part of the Constitution—YES on HR. 891

HR 891 affirms that the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) has met all of the requirements needed to be added to the U.S. Constitution and is already part of the Constitution. It will ensure it is considered effective.

Root out dark money—YES on S.443

Corporations and wealthy individuals should not have the power to make undisclosed political contributions that influence elections. Disclosure of large political spending should be the bare minimum requirement to provide voters with critical information about who is spending money in our federal elections. Though we have been fighting for the Disclose Act for more than a decade, the fight continues. Tell your senators you want dark money rooted out of our federal election system by passing S.443, the DISCLOSE Act of 2021!
