The League of Women Voters of Roselle-Bloomingdale will host a discussion of the upcoming Home Rule Referendum for the Village of Roselle.
The program will include a presentation from Tom Della Penna, Village of Roselle Trustee, and several officials from neighboring Home Rule communities including Peter Scalera, Bloomingdale Village Manager, and Rodney Craig, Mayor of Hanover Park. A League of Women Voters moderator from outside of the district will provide an opportunity for residents to get their questions answered and be informed in advance of the Home Rule Referendum vote.
On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, voters in the Village of Roselle will decide if Roselle will become a Home Rule community. This is an important and complex issue that will affect how and by whom mandated infrastructure upgrade costs are paid for in the future. This decision will also have an impact on the general quality of life for residents of the Village of Roselle.
This event is free and open to the public.
