In 1992, a group of women came together to form the Title IX Equity Coalition of Fresno County, CA, a grassroots women's collaborative established to enforce Title IX regulations at California State University, Fresno. Over the course of 4 years they worked to hold to account the federal government, the California State University System, and California University, Fresno, and ensure the implementation of Title IX.
