Meeting Summary:

Certification of Candidates: There was a missing date on the petition for Gregory Francis in Ravenna. He already had sufficient signatures, so his name will be moved forward on the November ballot. For the City of Tallmadge, there will be four candidates for council-at-large who will appear on the May ballot, as will Kent City council-at-large candidates.

Polling Location Complaint: A voter filed a complaint regarding ADA compliance at the American Legion location in Kent. The SOS has addressed this. Another complaint was filed about the usability of curbside voting. This has also been addressed.

Kent City Wards
As a result of ward changes due to the latest census, it has been necessary for the BOE to remap precincts to align with the new ward lines. In Ward 3, precincts 3B and 3D have been combined into one Ward B. Kent Ward 3 will have A, B, and C. Ward 6 has also been changed/combined. 6A and 6B will become 6A. 6C and 6D are combined into 6B. Central committee members will remain in their existing wards until the next election.
