As the June 2 Primary approaches, the League of Women Voters of Nevada County will present candidate forums for the following races. These forums provide an opportunity for voters to hear directly from candidates on key issues and are open to the public. All forums will be offered in person, live online, and available on demand following each event. Community members are encouraged to submit questions. Copy and paste questions [at] lwvnevadacounty.org into an email and send us your questions by April 18.

• Nevada City Council — Tuesday, April 21, 6 p.m.
  Rood Center, 910 Maidu Ave., Nevada City. Candidates: Adam Kline, James Khatami, Micayla Sortland.

• State Insurance Commissioner — Wednesday, April 29, 5:30 p.m.
  Virtual forum in collaboration with California League chapters and Personal the Insurance Federation of California via Zoom. Register here. Candidate confirmation in process. 

• Nevada County Superintendent of Schools — Thursday, April 30, 6 p.m.
  Rood Center, 910 Maidu Ave., Nevada City. Candidates: John Baggett, Timothy Reid.

• U.S. Congressional District 3 — Monday, May 4, 6 p.m.
  Rood Center, 910 Maidu Ave., Nevada City. Candidates: Heidi Hall, Ami Berra, Chris Bennett, Pacey Cervantes, Rob Tucker, Chris Bish.
