Los Angeles, CA -- July 6, 2018  The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles presents a free public forum on transportation and the intersection of transit and housing solutions on Saturday, July 14, 2018, 2:00 P.M., Musicians Institute Concert Hall, 1655 N. McCadden Place, Hollywood, CA 90028.  The forum is intended to raise the level of civic conversation about shifts in zoning and how people live and get around the region of Los Angeles.  Registration: https://bit.ly/2KKaYZR  (Free).

To access public transportation, take Metro’s Red Line to Hollywood/Highland station or Red Line bus #802 followed by a four-minute walk.  Public parking available in nearby lots.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Alissa Walker, Urbanism Editor, “Curbed LA” who authors the column, Word on the Street and will include the following panellists:

  • Christopher Hawthorne, Chief Design Officer, City of Los Angeles and former architecture critic, Los Angeles Times
  • Dick Platkin, Columnist, CityWatchLA and Board of Directors, Beverly Wilshire Homeowners Association
  • Mott Smith, Co-Founder, Civic Enterprises Development
  • Tunua Thrash-Mtuk, Executive Director, LA Local Initiatives Support Corporation
