Every eligible U.S. citizen has the right to cast a ballot freely and fairly - without fear of intimidation. It is a federal crime for anyone – including federal, state, and local officials – to intimidate, threaten, or interfere with the right of eligible U.S. citizens to vote. Federal law prohibits the presence of armed federal agents at the polls.
The Los Angeles City Charter Commission is tasked with reviewing the City Charter and developing recommendations for amendments and revisions for consideration by the City Council and Mayor. The City Charter serves as the City's Constitution that governs the structure and operation of the city government.
