The League advocates for issues but does not support or oppose any candidates for office. Every League Board of Directors at each level is required to have a non-partisan policy. The League does not have a single policy that covers all Leagues. A link to the nonpartisan policy of the LWV of the Cooperstown area is available on our website.

You can watch our last Climate Change meeting: Community Roundtable, "The Current Hudson Context Regarding Climate Threats to Hudson" HERE.  It was well attended and we learned a wide variety of information from the speakers listed above. We learned what the students in the Hudson schools (starting from kindergarten!) are learning and doing about sustainability. Hudson Public Power is trying to bring more renewables in the energy portfolio and the EAC is working on green building certification for Hudson homes.
