Redistricting Opportunities
The LWVO has partnered with Fair Districts of Ohio and Common Cause to raise awareness of the redistricting process that is underway in Ohio.This is the critical time in Ohio’s democratic process when our state’s legislators redraw district lines based on the most recent census data. Because Ohio successfully passed redistricting reforms in 2015 and 2018, Ohio’s new redistricting processes have the potential to affect meaningful changes to our state’s political structure in the form of more compact and contiguous districts, competitive elections and fair representation.
