Our annual Positions and Priorities Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 9, at the United Church of Christ in Kent. Bring breakfast items to share and gather at 9:15 a.m. Coffee and tea will be provided.

In the odd-numbered years, we look at the state positions and are given the opportunity to make our voices heard in developing and refining the positions that the Ohio League will be voting on at the state convention May, 10-12. (Interested in attending the event in Columbus? Click here.)

Positions and Priorities 2019 – Prepare, Discuss, Act

The first step is to prepare – become familiar with the Ohio League positions and the method of making changes to, adding or dropping positions. To get a head start, scroll down for these two documents: Position Summaries and Definitions and Things to Consider.

At the meeting we will discuss the positions in groups – Government, Social Policy, and Natural Resources. As we discuss, we will try to come to a consensus on any action we think should be made.

Following the meeting, we will report to the Ohio League any actions that, by consensus, we recommend to the Ohio League to take to the convention for consideration.
