This educational meeting provided information to provide a deeper understanding of the Pacific Coast Intermodal Port Project.  This free event provided an overview of the information learned from a review of public records, studies, meetings and interviews.

This meeting is the latest in a series of public events provided by the League about its in-depth studies of the Oregon's International Port of Coos Bay.  The last public presentation was held on Earth Day in April 2023.

The public was invited to attend and ask questions.

A recording of the event is available NOW and can be accessed in the links of the 4 sections below.

Section1:  Introduction & Overview

Section 2:  Estuary Modification

Section 3:  Rail Link

Section 4:  Questions & Answers - any questions not answered were sent to the Port

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization with a mission to encourage the active and informed participation of citizens in government. The League aims to provide impartial information to voters.

The League also conducts in-depth studies of public issues. If a local League has reached consensus on a particular issue, it may take a position to endorse or oppose an issue — though never a candidate or party related to that issue.

The LWVCC records and retains a full unedited copy of all Presentations.  If any portion(s) of the recording(s) are redistributed out of context to make a person or topic appear to say something that was not said, or are edited specifically to make this person or presentation look bad or in any way altered in appearance, the LWVCC will alert the media, provide the unedited video for comparison, and file appropriate complaints with an applicable governing authority, or – dependent upon the egregiousness if fraud is involved – alert local law enforcement.
