Joining the League is a great way to play an active role in your community and in our democracy! Everyone is welcome - membership in the League of Women Voters is open to anyone 16 years or older. 

 When you join the League of Women Voters of Coos County, you are also joining the national, state and local LeaguesThirty-three percent of your dues payment will go to LWVUS, forty-seven percent will go to LWV Oregon, and twenty percent will go to LWVCC.

 After making your payment, please return to our site to fill out a Member Interest Survey (under construction now) to help us match your interests to our activities!

 Membership Dues:

  •  Individual members: $75 per year is the recommended amount, or pay what you can ($20 minimum).
  • You can add a second member ($150 total for both recommended, $40 for both minimum), but they each will need to provide a unique email address.   
  • Life members: In appreciation of their dedication to democracy, Life Members (members for more than 50 years) are exempt from membership dues.

 Making Payments:

  • The preferred payment option is a direct bank transfer (ACH transfer), which minimizes fees. You'll need your financial institution's routing number and your account number.
  • You also have the option to pay by credit or debit card.
  • If you are not comfortable making payments online, see PDF icon Pay Dues by Check for instructions. 
  • You will receive an online confirmation and an email receipt for your payment.

Note: Membership dues are not tax-deductible. 

  •  Your membership dues payment will show up as three transactions on your account - one each to LWVCC, LWVOR, and LWVUS. You'll be a member of all three!
  • Keep things simple by automatically renewing each year!  Just select auto-renewal when you are paying your dues.

Making Donations: 

Would you like to make an extra donation in addition to paying your dues? We would greatly appreciate it!  Your donation supports the work of our volunteers and pays the costs of producing our programs and publications. Because all of our the League's work is done by volunteers, every dollar in your donation goes a long way to helping voters and improving our communities.

  • You will have the option to make a direct donation to LWVCC when paying your dues, or you can donate directly to us on the Donate page on our website.
  • All donations to LWVCC are not tax-deductible, whether made on the LWV Member Portal or directly from our site as we are a 501(c)(4) organization. 
    • If you wish to make a tax deductible donation, follow the payable by check instructions & make your check payable to LWVOR Education Fund. (This is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible fund.)

Renewing Your Membership:

  • You will receive an email reminder to renew one year after your last renewal date, with a link to renew on the LWV Member Portal.
  •  If you have signed up for auto-renew, you will get a reminder that your membership is automatically renewing.

Accessing the LWV Member Portal

To update your contact information or view your past payments, go to the  LWV Member Portal. 

 To log in to the portal:
  • Enter the email address associated with your membership. 
  • You will be sent an email with a verification code to enter the code into the form.     

 (You do not need a password.)
