LWVCC Candidate Forum 

for

North Bend City Council and Mayor candidates

The League of Women Voters of Coos County presented a forum on Tuesday, October 1st, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for candidates running for the position of Mayor and the City Council of North Bend, Oregon.

Recordings of the forum held in the North Bend City Council Chambers, with the following candidates is now available at the links below.

• Candidates for Mayor:  Jessica Engelke and Harry Haines VII.

• Candidates for City Council:  Matt Hamilton, Susanna Noordhoff, Timm Slater, and Melinda Torres. 

Members of the audience were invited to submit written questions.  

Campaign clothing, buttons, nor flyers were allowed inside the venue.

The League also offered voter registration at the event, for first-time voters and those needing to update their addresses.  Last date to register to vote in the November 5 election is October 15th.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization with a mission to encourage the active and informed participation of citizens in government. The League never supports or opposes any candidate or political party and aims to provide impartial information to voters about candidates' view on issues, and to stimulate interest and participation in the election.
