More than 100 years after some women gained the right to vote, people in the United States are still not constitutionally guaranteed equality on the basis of sex. The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) will update the US Constitution to protect the equality of rights under the law regardless of sex.
The LWVPA is calling on citizens to tell their state representatives to reject the package of consitutional amendments adopted by the state Senate. The House must pass the package by Jan. 27 to get the amendments on the May 21 Primary Election Ballot.

Corporations and wealthy individuals should not have the power to make undisclosed political contributions that influence elections. Disclosure of large political spending should be the bare minimum requirement.
