Ten $1000 prizes will be given for the top PA House and Senate district plans/maps (five in each category) that meet criteria proposed in LACRA (the Legislative and Congressional Redistricting Act). Winning maps will be used in Community Mapping Conversations. While LACRA has not been enacted and time has run out to pass it in the current legislative session, our goal is to show LACRA criteria in action and to ask for maps that meet those criteria. League of Women Voters of Delaware County and the League of Women Voters of Chester County in conjunction with the Education Policy and Leadership Center is offering a two-part workshop for all PA school board candidates and interested voters to help prepare candidates running for the office of school board.

Part 1: Wednesday, May 5, 2021 via Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will feature the roles and responsibilities of School Board members and an overview of State policy issues affecting School Boards.
Part 2: Thursday, May 6, 2021 via Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will feature creating a school district budget and Q & A with a panel of experienced School Board members.
