SB 1325, Arming Teachers, passed out of committee on Tuesday, April 2 and could hit the Senate Floor for a vote as early as Thursday, April 4. We have a chance to stop this dangerous bill, but you must ACT TODAY.

SB 1325 would allow a faculty or staff member of a school to carry a concealed handgun on school grounds if they first obtain an enhanced handgun carry permit and complete annual training, even if they don’t have law enforcement backgrounds. This dangerous bill will add to the number of guns in schools, something the majority of Tennessee parents do not want.

Contact Lt. Governor Randy McNally to OPPOSE SB 1325. Urge him to keep it off the Senate floor and be sure to include if:

            You have children or grandchildren in public schools, or

            You are a current or retired teacher.
