Voter Registration

We want you to join the League of Women Voters. Everyone is welcome! As a member, you will:

  • Have the opportunity to participate in local, state, and national League work
  • Get civic information you can trust
  • Know that your membership dues add to our grassroots strength and our financial resources.

Membership is open to any person who supports the purposes and policy of the League of Women Voters to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government and with a commitment to act on selected governmental issues.

Joining

When you join the League of Women Voters of Arlington & Alexandria City, your dues payment is split as follows:

  • 20% - (Local) League of Women Voters of Arlington & Alexandria City (tax deductible - LWV Arlington and Alexandria is a 501 (c) (3). ) 
  • 47% - (State) League of Women Voters of Virginia
  • 33% - (National) League of Women Voters of United States

Suggested dues:  $75.00

League membership is on a pay-as-you're-able basis with a suggested payment of $75.00. The minimum payment is $20.00; those who are able to pay more are encouraged to do so. Only the 20% of your membership dues that goes to our local league is tax deductible.

Join/Renew

The League of Women Voters has moved to national membership management, which has changed our dues and donation structure.  Until further notice we recommend that payments for dues (joining) and payments for gifts (donating) be separate transactions.
