LWVC hosts several listservs and other interest groups where you can ask questions, share ideas, and collect resources on different LWVC issue areas. People First Language Guide
The purpose of the People First Language Guide is to help League volunteers and staff use people-first language and avoid terminology with negative, dehumanizing connotations. This guide aims to standardize the terminology used by staff, volunteers, and local Leagues in both our advocacy and educational work.
