Joey Jordan is a retired nonpartisan political consultant and fundraising professional. A 30-year
Nevada County resident, she joined the League of Women Voters in 2011 and served on the
board for over a decade, in various positions, including Membership Chair and, most recently,
Outreach Coordinator.

Jordan has served in leadership roles on over 40 local non-profit boards including Rüdiger
Foundation, KVMR Community Radio, Sierra Watch, The Food Bank of Nevada County, and
Rough and Ready Fire Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) Fire Auxiliary. She currently serves as the
elected Board Chair of the Penn Valley Fire Protection District and can most often be found at
the Penn Valley Fire Department Thrift Shop where she has been an auxiliary member since
2019.

“Running the Outreach Booth for LWV has been a very rewarding experience. It was so fun to
meet new people and make new friends who, like me, care deeply about voting rights and
democracy,” stated Joey.
