Orange Coast Observer Corps
Ever wonder what’s happening in your city or county government, but don’t have time to attend meetings? Now you can stay informed without leaving home. The League of Women Voters of Orange County (LWVOC) has a dedicated team that watches local government meetings and summarizes the key points for you. These reports cover City Council, School Board, Board of Education, and Board of Supervisors meetings, and are easily accessible on our website.
Our team of 16 trained Observers may work quietly behind the scenes, but they have a big impact. They keep the public informed, alert LWVOC leadership to potential advocacy opportunities, and let local officials know their actions are being watched by people trained in open meeting laws and League policy positions.
Interested in making a difference? Join us! We have openings on the Observer Corps and would love to hear from you. Contact the Director at observer.corps [at] lwvorangecoast.org.
