Lunch with League June Speaker Event
Following a pre-pandemic tradition, Orange Coast Lunch with League (LWL), hosted 49 members (and a few nonmembers) for a buffet luncheon on June 21st. Everyone had an enjoyable event, meeting current and new friends, and thanks to the table hosts, catching up on current activities and projects in Orange Coast League.
Denah Hoard, Executive Director of the Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission of Orange County, spoke on the topic of “The Genesis, Organization and Success of the Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission of Orange County.” The power point of Ms. Hoard’s presentation is included.
Ms. Hoard will keep League apprised of the quarterly Commission meetings. We encourage everyone to attend and show support for this important work.
Our next LWL is August 16th, 2023, at the Back Bay Conference Center in Irvine. Our distinguished presenter will be Arash Sayadi. He has an interesting agenda explaining what Ranked Choice Voting is and how it can work. Mr. Sayadi says, “Come join us as we explore how Ranked Choice Voting can change our politics.”
