Postcards to Swing State Voters Are Sent

On September 7th, LWVOC members and family/friends met at the Back Bay Conference Center to write postcards to swing states encouraging individual voters to vote. Two GOTV postcard parties were scheduled, with the second to take place on September 21st.  The goal was 1000 postcards over the two days.  The women and men who gathered on the 7th outdid themselves. By the end of two hours, 910 postcards were ready to be stamped and mailed. 

With so few postcards remaining, the second GOTV party was of course cancelled. 

Thank you to everyone who came and thank you to those that planned on coming. This just shows what we as a League can do.  We will definitely be doing this for the next election and will also be raising our goal!
