Upcoming Workshop on Immigration

by Anne Stone

     Executive Committee

We have become aware of an upcoming workshop that will cover ways to support immigrants, ensure their fundamental rights and oppose cruel immigration enforcement.  The workshop will give information to ensure communities have systems and resources to prepare for possible deportations.

It is being held, online, on Human Rights Day (12/10) at 1:30 our time. It is sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee and the Friends Committee on National Legislation.  They are not affiliated with the League of Women Voters.

Registration closes the end of the day, December 9th. You can register at this link.

In addition, if you know anyone who has been impacted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), please provide them with the hotline number for the OC Rapid Response Network: 714-881-1558 .  They hold a Participatory Defense space every Wednesday for those who are in need of help.
