Recognizing that land is a resource as well as a commodity, the League supports action to
enhance and preserve our environ-mental assets and action to require planned and coordinated
management of growth and development. Due consideration should be paid to geologic
conditions, including hydrologic and seismic factors, as well as to the welfare of plant and
animal species, in future land use decisions.
