East Los Angeles College Launches Town Halls to Advance Racial and Social Equity

Type:
News

Last year, East Los Angeles College (ELAC) President Dr. Alberto J. Román launched a Framework for Social Justice and Racial Equity at the college. The purpose is to advance equity-minded practices and to institute transformational change by eliminating policies that create barriers for students.

An important component of the Framework is a series of virtual town hall meetings being held in the fall and spring that bring the college and community together to address issues of equity. The upcoming Round of Racial Equity and Social Justice Town Halls are listed below, along with links to register for these webinars. I encourage you to take advantage of this series of town halls, which will be open and free to the public.
