On June 17, 2021, President Joe Biden officially recognized Juneteenth (June 19th) as a national holiday although it has been celebrated in Black communities since the late 1800s. Cities and organizations across Solano County are coming together from June 15-19th to learn and celebrate.

McBride Senior Center, 91 Town Square Pace, Vacaville, will host its first Juneteenth holiday event on Thursday, June 15 at 10:a.m. Alice Fried of Vacaville and Garret Toles of Vallejo are guest speakers.
