Join @KVIEPBS a free online preview screening of The Vote, on Tuesday, June 30, from 6 – 7pm, a new documentary celebrating 100 years of women's suffrage in America, followed by an insightful panel discussion.
One hundred years after the passage of the 19th Amendment, this film tells the dramatic culmination story of the hard-fought campaign waged by American women for the right to vote. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with special guests, including Martha Wheelock, filmmaker and Executive Director of Wild West Women, Inc.; Heather Fargo, Former Mayor of Sacramento and community organizer at the Sacramento Tree Foundation; Diana Madoshi, community organizer and Board Member of the National Women’s History Alliance; and Mona Siegel, Professor of History at Sacramento State University.
