What: A virtual meeting to celebrate meet and reconnect with members of the League of Women Voters Solano and identify the program focus for the next two years.
Why: It's our birthday! February 14th is the celebration of 103 years of the League empowering voters and defending democracy!
Re-commit to encouraging citizen participation and advocate for public policies that grow our communities and sustain the well-being of our democracy.
We are seeking your input in identifying the program focus areas for advocacy and education.
We are happy to continue this work that started over a century ago. Please join us for this important work.
When: Thursday, February 16th from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
You will have the opportunity to present your own ideas and vote on the priorities for our League.

2023 Program Planning Proposal
Well… we have a lot to consider as we determine our program priorities for 2023 and provide feedback to LWV California (LWVC) on their priorities. LWVC Executive Director, Stephanie Douty, gave us a remarkable overview of LWVC work when she spoke to our gathering at Rock Creek Winery. And… the LWVC website shows how they have focused their energies in 2022.

- Election Reform with a focus on expanding the electorate and making it more
representative - Money in politics
- Redistricting (assessment and reform planning)
Housing (implementation and community education focused)

Climate Change with a focus on water
Criminal Justice
- Racial Justice Act for All (co-sponsor)

- Racial Inclusiveness/Justice/Equity

Program Planning & Events Committee recommends:
- LWVS members will meet on 2/16/23 to determine three (3) proposed program priorities for 2023
- PP&E will report these proposed program priorities to LWVC by the February deadline
- LWVS members adopt program priorities at General Meeting in June
