Dear League Members,
This Holiday message bring with it my thanks for your support during this very busy year filled with your league’s many accomplishments. Our life with “Zoom” was so different yet, successful in many ways. The Annual Meeting, purported to be the shortest in memory, set the tone and moved us along to a very successful Election season. Partnerships built then to “Get Out the Vote” will continue in other endeavors. Our fall VOTER was new and fresh, the website was launched and our Holiday Celebration was innovative and fun!!
Planning is underway for the next half of our League year and January’s meeting will be the “launch”. I look forward to the months ahead with activities and events even while living with the extraordinary circumstances we face.
These are difficult times and I was reminded of that by Chronicle columnist Carl Nolte in last Sundays column. He opined that we have choices to make in life and recalled these words by William Saroyan who wrote: “In the time of your life, live – so that in that wondrous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.”
Wishing every one of you and your family a joyful and peaceful holiday and a better New Year for 2021.
Happy Days to You,
Pat Butler
