This Program submitted to the Membership was approved and adopted by the Board at their May 11, 2021 Board Meeting. This Program is submitted to the Membership for review and approval at the Annual Meeting, June 15, 2021.


LWVW Program For 2021-2022

1.Focus on building Membership of our League through.

  • Increasing our Area of Influence to include the rural areas adjacent to Woodland including Esparto, Yolo, Knights Landing and the Capay Valley.
  • Develop a student position on the Board to encourage younger membership.

2. Review all current League Positions and Studies for relevance with the intent to:

  • Target for revision and/or update or rewrite to include relevant, timely information.
  • Review Areas of Focus from the LWVC and National to determine if there are issues, topics, etc that our League members suggest are suitable for developing as a position or study, an example is Social Justice.

3.  Continue the update and revision process of our current Bylaws (begun by the 2021 Ad Hoc Committee.)

  • The update will include adding current revisions of the LWVC and National bylaws when applicable. 
  • The Committee will present any Proposed Amendments to the Board and League members as per the guidance of the existing By Laws.

4.  As per the focus of the LWVC, review with an equity lense all programs/events to promote inclusivity.
