Woodland’s League of Women Voters hosted its “State of the Community” event this week, which featured Woodland Mayor Mayra Vega and Woodland Police Chief Derrek Kaff. Vega, who represents District 5, is on the City Council’s subcommittees of economic development, infrastructure and commercial cannabis. She’s also worked in the health care industry for 10 years with a focus on strategic planning, business development and program development for community and regional hospitals.  Read more....
