League members:  First, a special thanks to all of you who currently support the League with your time and know-how!  For those of  you who would like to be come more involved in League activities, we need you!  Here are two specific requests:

• Observer Corps  - Whether you are a newcomer to the area or a long-time local resident, the Observer Corps is an excellent way to learn about issues and activities that are important to the League, your community and your local government.  And it’s a great way to get to know other League members. We cover County Council, Planning and Zoning and Board of Adjustment and "observe" the meeting. • Membership Committee  - We are looking for volunteers at two levels.
  Level One is willingness to serve as outreach and membership representatives at one or more public awareness events such as festivals, library lobbies, and at LWVSCDE Forums.   Events are scheduled throughout the year.  Outreach volunteers typically work in pairs for 2-3 hours at a time.  There are no regular meeting obligations.
  Level Two is ongoing work to plan and execute member recruiting and retention activities, assist with Membership Roster management, and work with other committee chairs to identify potential members.  If you are interested or want more information, please contact Pat Newcomb or Jan Willis at lwvscde.membership [at] gmail.com.
