Gwendolyn Miller, newly elected president of the League of Women Voters of Sussex County, helped man a voter registration table for the League at the Juneteenth Celebration in Georgetown on June 15th.

The League of Women Voters along with the ACLU and Common Cause of Delaware held a panel discussion on the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact at Sussex County Council Chambers on 3/3/19. UPDATE:  The Delaware Legislature passed the NPV bill on 3/14/19.

Voter Services committee members help the community with voter registration and provide information on absentee voting, etc.  Events like this are held frequently prior to elections to provide nonpartisan information to encourage active participantion in our democracy.

The League of Women Voters of Sussex County has held forums on the threats to clean drinking water in our county and continues in its mission to inform the public on this issue. DNREC will be holding a public hearing on the Allen Harim Harbeson Chicken Plant's waste water treatment and spray irrigation on August 21st at Mariner Middle school in Milton.
