The League of Women Voters of Delaware presents Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) - Unconscious Bias, facilitated by Gwendolyn Miller.

Through courageous conversations, self-reflection, and engaging activities, League members move from awareness to action. To appreciate unconscious bias, we must:

  • Understand why unconscious bias happens
  • Raise awareness and manage unconscious bias
  • Discuss strategies that members can implement to overcome unconscious bias, both as individuals and as part of the League.

Gwendolyn R. Miller is the owner of Addressing Racial Microaggressions, LLC, which provides private consultations, workshops, and training to academic institutions, non-profit agencies, corporations, and organizations. Her expertise includes teaching executives and managers how to address diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), racial microaggressions, and unconscious bias in the workplace.  She chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the League of Women Voters of Delaware. Ms. Miller also serves as an advisory board member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the League of Women Voters of the United States and the Education Chair of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice.
