The League of Women Voters of Sussex County held a public forum for the candidates for the state office of State Representative from the 20th District on November 1st at the Milton Library.  

The candidates running for the office are Dallas A. Wingate (Republican), and Stell Parker Selby (Democrat). Following brief opening statements by the candidates, the candidates answered written questions from the audience.  The event was well attended and was also available via Zoom.  The Zoom video is available here.

Candidates in all Sussex County races have been asked to post background information and their answers to questions on key issues on VOTE411.org, the League of Women Voters’ online voters’ guide. Voters can go to the website and compare the candidates’ views on such challenges as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, curbing gun violence, right of privacy to make reproductive choices, and ensuring quality healthcare at affordable cost.
