The League of Women Voters of Sussex County will be holding a luncheon for its semi-annual meeting at Peninsula Golf and Country Club on November 14th.  The guest speaker will be Lora Englehard from Delaware Humanities. 

Ms. Englehard will present “Celebrating 100 Years: Revisiting the Women’s Suffrage Movement with ‘2020’ Hindsight,” focusing on forgotten leaders who were not included in history books because of their gender or race.  Ms. Englehart is a freelance writer who contributes regularly to Chaddsfordlive.com and Today Media publications. She has authored articles about Mary Ann Shadd Cary and women’s suffrage for various publications.

As a nonpartisan organization, the League welcomes anyone interested in empowering voters to attend the luncheon program, regardless of gender or political affiliation.
