The League of Women Voters of Sussex County will host a public forum for the candidates for the state office of State Representative from the 20th District on November 1st at 5pm at the Milton Library.  The event is also available via Zoom with this link:

Candidates running for the office are Dallas A. Wingate (Republican), and Stell Parker Selby (Democrat). Following brief opening statements by the candidates, the candidates will answer written questions from the audience. Note cards and pencils for posing questions will be available at the door and from monitors in the aisles throughout the program.

Candidates in all Sussex County races have been asked to post background information and their answers to questions on key issues on VOTE411.org, the League of Women Voters’ online voters’ guide. Voters can go to the website and compare the candidates’ views on such challenges as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, curbing gun violence, right of privacy to make reproductive choices, and ensuring quality healthcare at affordable cost.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for elective office. Their mission is to encourage active and informed participation in government and to increase understanding of public policy issues.
