The midterm election is right around the corner! Learn more about simple yet impactful actions you can take to help turn out an informed electorate on November 3rd! We depend on all our members and friends to carry out our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy and we need you to help get out the vote. Take action now!

- Democracy is not a spectator sport! To carry out our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy, we depend on all our members and friends to take part. We have curated some simple and effective action items for you to help us get out the vote and build a more perfect union.

Week Four: Offices & Candidates (Oct 6th)
There are 12 offices on November 3rd’s ballot and many have multiple candidates running. Get to know what and who is on the ballot for elected office and start researching to select your candidate.

- Action 1: Learn where candidates stand on issues. Visit the League’s Vote411.org and enter your residential address to learn about the candidates that will appear on your ballot.
- Action 2: Take a few minutes to jot down the candidates who interest you.
- Action 3: Connect with 2 - 3 friends to share this information. Note that Vote411.org is national, so think about sharing beyond MA
- Bonus: Print a few Voter Checklists and keep them handy to share.
Week Three: Ballot Questions (Sept 29th)
We are deciding on a record-tying nine (9!!) ballot questions on November 3rd. That means doing some homework!

- Action 1: Find the “Red Book”; if by chance you have already recycled it, you can access the Red Book online. You can also read an excellent summary of the nine questions published by the non-partisan Tufts Center on State Policy Analysis.
- Action 2: Identify your current voting preferences on the ballot questions.
- Action 3: Share this information with 2-3 friends.
- Bonus: Print a few Voter Checklists and keep them handy to share.
- Bonus: Share any ideas you have for helping folks understand the ballot questions.
Week Two: Rallying New Voters. (Sept 22nd)
Eligible young voters may not be registered. Help show them the ropes!

- Action 1: Spend a few minutes thinking about potential young voters in your social circles.
- Action 2: Reach out to 2-3 young eligible voters and ask if they are registered and have a plan to vote. (If needed, offer to help them to develop a concrete plan for voting. There is time - we will share guidance in week 5!)

Check your own registration and encourage others to do the same!

- Action 1: Check your voter registration. Make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline to register for the November 3rd election is October 24th!
- Action 2: Forward the link above by text or email to three friends. Ask them to make sure they are registered and remind them of the deadline.
