January Lunch & Learn - Reducing Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence with Nicole Beverley. Nicole holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and is the author of the compelling memoir, Finding Nicole, A True Story of Love, Loss, Betrayal, Fear and Hope. Surviving domestic violence and stalking, and having lived under threats of murder from her ex-husband, she became and continues to be a passionate advocate for other survivors of intimate partner violence.

Unregulated access to firearms – a reality across much of America -- is catastrophic for every American: every shooting has scores, even hundreds, of victims, as frequent, unpredictable exposure to vicarious violence generates fear and anxiety that we feel helpless to manage. But women and children are uniquely vulnerable because of the role of firearms in intimate partner violence.
