Our presenter - Belinda Dulin - is Executive Director of The Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) which operates independently but is also now part of our Washtenaw County services
Belinda will discuss Youth-based Restorative Justice Circles on October 1 with the Juvenile Justice Advocacy Team, LWV Washtenaw. DRC is a community dispute resolution program that offers affordable, constructive, restorative and healing approaches to conflict resolution to the communities in Washtenaw and Livingston Counties. We partner with Dynastic Ministries 19 that specializes in cognitive advancement of children by utilizing Youth Circles to teach skills in mediation, conflict resolution, ethical reasoning, critical thinking and restorative justice practices. Together, we offer the Youth Empowerment Circles that provides a safe, brave and non-judgmental space where young people can gather in restorative circle dialogues and discuss the issues that are important to them.
