The UM Juvenile Justice Clinic provides law students the opportunity to apply legal practice skills while representing both court-affected youth and “juvenile lifers” in resentencing proceedings. Christa Lindemer, Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), provides services to court affected youth and to the law students representing them. She will demonstrate the benefit of social work support embedded in defense teams. Ms. Lindemer has over 25 years of experience in multiple areas including school social work, special education, intimate partner violence, grief and loss, trauma, and neurodivergence.
