Topic: At the National Convention in late June, should the LWV US adopt “concurrences” on
-
Immigrant Rights
- Religious Freedom
- Health Care
Agenda: LWV WC members will learn about the three proposals and share their views
with the eight delegates from Washtenaw County who will be voting on these at Convention.
What is a Concurrence?
The League is both a voter education and a political advocacy organization. What directs advocacy efforts at the national, state, and local levels are the official positions the League holds on issues, which it has studied and arrived at a consensus on at each of these levels. National positions can also be modified or refined by delegates at each biennial Convention, one of which will occur this June in Columbus, OH.
