LEAGUE MEMBER EVENT

The League of Women Voters of Michigan is starting a statewide Money in Politics network. It’s for League members from all over our state who are concerned about Money in Politics, and what we can do to limit run-away spending and implement long lasting solutions. Here is a link to LWVUS current position on Money in Politics:  LWVUS Money in Politics position

Meetings are on-line, monthly on first Thursdays at 7:00 pm

The meetings will be hosted by Robbi Duda, Money in Politics working group chair, from LWV of Washtenaw County, whose group has been studying this issue for over a year. A sample agenda includes: 

• Sharing ideas, information, and resources about MiP 
• Hearing about what other local Leagues are doing or planning 
• Educating ourselves and investigating policies and legislation relating to MiP 
• Looking at the LWVUS position on MiP and how it relates to state and local work. 
• Consider workshop ideas about MiP for the state convention.
