Kevin Mitchell, Director of Children’s Services for Washtenaw County, will present an update on the Washtenaw County Youth Career Academy and describe the status of other juvenile justice initiatives in Washtenaw County and statewide, including intended revisions to the Michigan Juvenile Justice Assessment Screener.

 Mr. Mitchell has served on a number of statewide juvenile justice committees and is currently the President of the Michigan Juvenile Detention Association. As the Children’s Services Director, he oversees the Juvenile Detention Program and the Washtenaw Youth Career Academy.
