Action Alerts

Our State Representatives will be reconvening on September 15. We need sufficient legislation to expand absentee voting, remove the witness requirement, allow the use of secure drop boxes, and provide election officials more time to process ballots.

The SC Senate met on Wednesday, September 2, and passed election reform measures; their bill now goes to the House on September 15. The Senate bill is an improvement but a lot less than we have asked for, a lot less than the State Election Commission and South Carolina Association of Registration and Election Officials asked for, and in some ways more restrictive than current law.

Phone or email your representative. It's important that the SC legislature hear from as many constituents as possible.
