SAFE (Safe, Accessible & Fair Elections) Action Team
An increasing number of people found their way to League membership in 2020, most citing their reason for joining as concern about the state of US Democracy. In response, the League formed a committee called SAFE – safe, accessible and fair elections. The 12-15 members who joined the early fall 2020 meetings identified the two areas in which they wanted to focus:
Register to vote at Wheaton's French Market, a French-styled open-air market where local vendors sell fresh local produce, bread, cheese, flowers, artisan foods & crafts, clothing, jewelry, etc.

Stop by our League of Women Voters of Wheaton table from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get registered to vote or change your voter registration if you changed your name or address. Learn about the upcoming November Midterm Election.
Early Voting: 1. Any voter can vote early at any early voting center in their county during the early voting period. Go to an early voting center in your county, present your Photo ID, and vote using the voting system like you would at your polling place on Election Day.
