Public Statement

As voters across Connecticut send in their absentee ballots or make their plans to head to the polls, confusion about the election process is at an all-time high. The League has a 100-year history of getting voters the information they need to vote with confidence and this year is no different. Join us on October 20th, for a discussion about this year’s unique election: why you should vote, how you can vote and what to expect, particularly at the polls. Hear from Denise Merrill, CT SOTS, Laura Smits of LWVCT, as well as voters around the state.

Ballot Question 2: Ranked Choice Voting

The LWV of Massachusetts has supported ranked choice voting since 2005 when it was termed Instant Run-Off Voting. On October 5, 2020, the LWV Hingham hosted a Ranked Choice Voting Webinar for its members and the public to explain the topic. We are pleased to share this recording in our efforts to create more informed voters.
