May 6, 2025.Today at the NYS Capitol, the League of Women Voters NYS stood in solidarity with partner organizations for Advocacy Day. Our main agenda included amplifying the voices of directly impacted communities, framing democracy protection as a racial and gender justice issue, highlighting the systemic barriers to access, and strengthening relationships with lawmakers and fellow advocates.

As the legislative session nears its close, we stand up and fight for key pro-democracy bills that will protect and expand the rights of all New Yorkers.
