The Youth Voter Grant Committee has been hard at work, scheduling events including voter registration drives to engage our local youth in elections and voting. We are also planning and scheduling a number of discussion groups with youth in our communities to understand how the LWV Utica/Rome may better engage with young people around voter education, voting engagement, and civic engagement. We are excited to report a number of activities already scheduled including:

March 7 – 10:00am- 2:00pm - Cinderella’s Closet – Proctor HS  Voter registration event.

March 18 – 10:00am-11:30am – New Hartford HS, 33 Oxford Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Voter registration event.

March 24 – 10:00am- 11:00ish -BOCES Adult GED classes, ACCESS center, 508 2nd Street, Utica, NY. Discussion group and registration event.

March 24 – 1:30pm- 2:30ish -BOCES Adult GED classes, ACCESS center, 508 2nd Street, Utica, NY. Discussion group and voter registration event.

March 26 – 10:15am-11:30am – Clinton HS. 75 Chenango Avenue, Clinton, NY.
Voter registration event.

March 26 – 3:30pm-4:30ishpm – Mid-Utica Community Center (MUCC), currently at 1640 Genesee Street (Our Saviour Lutheran Church), Utica, NY.
