The stated goal of the Challenge:

“To assist each of us to become more aware and engaged in the quest for disability equity, and specifically to learn more about the issues that are important to members of the disability community — many of whom are from other marginalized communities — as well as the challenges, barriers, biases, stereotypes, and discrimination they encounter in everyday life.”

Join with the LWVNYS for the upcoming 21 days … beginning July 14th… to learn much more about who the disability community includes, how to recognize our own biases and stereotypes, and how to improve our processes and practices. It is hoped that we learn how to become more inclusive of persons with disabilities in our communities, as individuals and as an organization. Your average time investment is up to, or less than, 20 minutes per day for those 21 days!
